UK Launch of Sapporo Draught

Kingfisher Drinks , the premium world beer, cider and spirits company, is delighted to announce a new addition to its exciting portfolio.

Sapporo Premium Beer is the product of Japanese precision craftsmanship, taking the very best traditional approaches and adding an innovative twist. Their first Master Brewer, Seibei Nakagawa, crossed the globe to Germany to assimilate the 900 years of brewing knowledge and bring it back to Hokkaido. They have been perfecting the beer with cutting-edge technology ever since, even developing their own genetic strains of barley and hops, refining every detail to brew an unmistakably crisp and balanced beer. With an ABV of 4.9%, Sapporo Premium Beer will be available in draught format to the UK on-trade this month.

A crafted collaboration

Shaun Goode, Chief Operating Officer of Kingfisher Drinks, comments, “We are so excited to finally be able to celebrate the addition of draught Sapporo Premium Beer to our growing portfolio of world beers and ciders. It’s great to finally be able to announce it and relaunch the brand to the UK on-trade. This will be the first-time Sapporo Premium Beer has been available on draught, and we will be looking to seed it in a select number of pubs and bars which reflect its super-premium credentials.”

Satoru Morita, General Manager of Sapporo Europe B.V., adds “Whilst Sapporo Premium Beer has been hugely successful in the Japanese food occasion and is already stocked in many of the UK’s finest Japanese restaurants, we are keen to see it expand into pubs and bars with a draught format. We think consumers will love its distinctively crisp taste. In Kingfisher Drinks, we believe we have found the perfect distributer to unlock this opportunity.”
